Either one of the two cities, Superior, Wisconsin or Duluth, Minnesota. They are both sister cities so it doesn't matter which one is what, but both cities has a great view.

Great sunrise today, and very good view of the awesome Lake Superior. We just stopped here on the way to North Dakota, but it was well worth spending an extra 5 minutes taking pictures.

I like sunsets because I never really get to see them and the colors and the clouds are just so cool reflected on the lake. This picture speaks for itself I think.

Great Lake State

Michigan - The Great Lake State

Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Erie and Superior (HOMES) are the five great lakes. Four lakes actually touch the state of Michigan and four actually touch Canada. Born and raised in Michigan and I love everything about the state from nice scenic view of trees to swimming in one of the great lakes, this state has a lot of offer. I live in the southeastern part of the LP=lower peninsula and the view is fine, but I have been in other parts of Michigan where the view just takes your breathe away. I have been to the UP=upper peninsula once, maybe twice, can't be sure, but I know that it is breathtaking up there.

I will have the opportunity to travel past the UP on the way to North Dakota on a little vacation. North Dakota may not be the place most people think of traveling to for a vacation, but it will not be what most people think of a relaxing vacation. My dad read an oil boom is happening in the western part of North Dakota and he wants me to go up there with him and scout the area out to see if it's true. If it is true, that means many jobs for many people. If it isn't true, then it is just a fun vacation, and regardless of the outcome, you bet I am going to post the pictures taken with my camera on here.
